Arrow ACAT 2 Wave Balloon Pump

The Arrow ACAT 2 Wave Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) system provides counter-pulsation support to the most unstable of IABP patients. It facilitates precise helium pulses to an Intra-Aortic catheter, assisting an injured or failing heart. The Arrow AutoCAT 2 console, when combined with the FiberOptic IAB technology, utilizes a physiologic timing algorithm called WAVE that delivers uncompromised patient support to a broad range of patients. The machine is designed to work in conditions which are unique to the operating room, catheterization laboratory, critical care unit and during transport of patients to the hospital.
